Dichroic Glass is a multi layed coating of metal oxides and quartz crystals vapourised onto glass using a highly technical vacuum chamber deposition process. The vapours produced float upward attaches and then condenses on the surface of the glass in the form of a crystal structure. The coating produced can vary greatly depending on the surface texture of the glass or if it is black or transparent glass. The main characteristic of Dichroic Glass is that it has a transmitted colour and a completely different reflective colour. These two colours shift depending on the angle of view and are only visible on tranparent coated glass.
